2009 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto Marketplace Calls for Artisans
The AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) is looking for a select group of artisans and vendors to participate in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Marketplace. The Marketplace will operate on Sunday, September 13, 2009.
Participating in the AIDS Walk for Life Marketplace is an exceptional commercial opportunity limited to a select group of vendors.
What each vendor will receive:
• Access to an estimated 8000 -10,000 walkers and attendees
• Exposure in a high-traffic downtown area
• A unique opportunity to join the fight against HIV/AIDS
Who we're looking for:
• New and emerging artists, artisans and crafters offering one-of-a-kind, hand-made products, including gifts, décor items, and other unique items.
Why we're doing it:
The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto raises much-needed funds for the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT). For more than 25 years, ACT has been providing services to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, while also working to prevent the spread of HIV in our community.
25 years into the pandemic, there is still a need for action. Every day, two people are newly infected with HIV in Toronto.
This year funds raised by the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto will benefit the social support services that the AIDS Committee of Toronto offers its clients. We know that until people's most basic needs are met, we can't address the other issues affecting them. We help people living with HIV/AIDS with our buddy program, free drives & moves program, furniture bank, and clinics with experts to assist with tax returns and insurance benefits.
With your support, we can continue to provide caring, responsive and effective services to people living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV/AIDS.
Thank you for your consideration
